CLASS DESCRIPTION

 BALANCE I

 Learn easy key balance exercises to significantly increase awareness of your body including vision, inner ear, leg and  ankle flexibility, and foot positioning. Make strides toward the goal of aging “gracefully” and significantly reduce your risk of falling.

 BALANCE II

Accomplish Balance I, move up to this class and learn elementary movement to music, perform a variety of medium- level strength and balance exercises including Thera-Bands, light hand-weights and fitness balls. Learn proper breathing techniques for greater relaxation & improved posture. 

 BALANCE III

Master Balance II then maintain and improve balance capabilities  and quality of life through BALANCE FOR LIFE. Two classes are taught with complementary objectives and approaches. FITNESS concentrates primarily on strength and flexibility; COORDINATION concentrates on hand-eye coordination and dexterity through the use of Light hand weights, Thera-Bands, and exercise balls.

 FLOWING BALANCE: (Tai Chi)

Experience this ancient Chinese mind-Body discipline that combines slow graceful movement with conscious breathing. Clinically proven to prevent falls and improve range-of-motion.

 MOVEMENT TO MUSIC

Learn basic line dancing steps to music, while you exercise your brain, improve your balance, and strengthen your leg & ankle muscles.

 PARKINSON'S BALANCE

Utilizing the basic Balance I program specialized for those living with the limitations of Parkinson's disease.

 PARKINSON'S VOICE THERAPY

 Learn how to exercise your vocal chords, facial and neck muscles while increasing your voice projection. Also get to sing some old favorite songs.

 CHAIR EXERCISE WITH MUSIC & DEMENTIA CARE

This class is specially tailored for our seated exercisers, and those experiencing some memory loss. Build strength and increased flexibility by utilizing body weight movement and percussion instruments.
