BALANCE FOR LIFE  Instructors 

Ann Parent

Ann teaches BALANCE II and assists  with Flowing Balance (Tai Chi). She is Arthritis Foundation certified to teach Arthritis exercise classes. She has a background in Tap dance and especially enjoys welcoming new participants to her class.



Gloria Ives

Gloria teaches BALANCE I. She has experience in classical ballet training. She has also been a physical education assistant leading exercise classes. She has a certification in special exercise through the Arthritis Foundation.



CHARLEY

Charley Hodgson

Charley teaches MOVEMENT TO MUSIC. She has 3 years experience teaching this type of exercise. Her class is moderately aerobic and is enjoyable for the participants as well as strengthening the lower body muscle groups.



George Reynolds

George teaches BALANCE III (Coordination). He has taught martial arts and ballroom dancing for many years. This unique course promotes extensive interest among the students and has developed a  team atmosphere in his class.



Jack Hemby

Jack is an Instructor assistant in FLOWING BALANCE ( Tai Chi). He is retired professional engineer who holds black belts in Ju-Jitsu and Karate. He has been studying Yang style Tai Chi under Bob Smith. He also assists  in instructing new students of Tai Chi.

Suzanne Cawthon

Suzanne teaches  BALANCE II and BALANCE III (fitness). She is an experienced aerobic instructor, has   studied ballet and enjoys weight lifting and the practice of martial arts. 




Mirian Horton

Miriam leads the CHAIR EXERCISE MUSIC AND DEMENTIA CARE element of the Church sponsored Alzheimers program at Trinity Methodist Church. She has recently retired from a 32 year teaching career in Mathematics & Physical Education.



Jennifer Jonas

Jennifer  teaches PARKINSON'S VOICE THERAPY. She has rejoined  THE CENTER FOR AGING to continue the Parkinson’s voice therapy program that she began in 2010. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University. Since 1993 she has been working  with seniors and children with special needs.
